Cookies and local storage

What Expandus stores in your browser, why, and how to change your choice at any time.

Version 2026-07-29.1Effective 29 July 2026

1. Categories

  • Strictly necessary (always on) — sign-in and session storage, security, and saving your privacy choice itself. The service cannot run without these, so they are not subject to consent.
  • Functional draft storage (strictly necessary) — keeps an assessment in progress from being lost if you refresh the page.
  • Analytics (off by default) — would let us measure aggregate product usage. Nothing is set unless you turn it on.
  • Marketing (off by default) — would let us measure campaign performance. Nothing is set unless you turn it on.

2. What is loaded today

Expandus does not currently load any analytics or marketing script. The preference control exists so that your choice is recorded and honoured if such an integration is ever added. Optional categories remain off until you give affirmative consent — nothing is pre-selected on your behalf.

3. How your choice is stored

Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage together with the notice version and the time it was recorded. If the notice version changes, we ask again. Clearing your browser storage removes the record, and the banner will reappear on your next visit.

4. Change your choice

Use the Privacy preferences control in the footer of every page, or the button below. You can also block or delete storage through your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary storage may stop parts of the service from working.
